RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking an experienced Linux System Build Engineer for a remote opportunity to support a team who is building systems that will be used across multiple platforms and devices. Our client's team is always innovating and striving for excellence in the products they deliver to the end customers and this role is crucial to accomplish this. These are new image builds across multiple devices, then pushing updates as new updates come out or need to be upgraded to interface with new deployments.

If you are interested in this position, please apply ASAP.Responsibilities: Linux System Build Engineer builds installable Linux images based on Ubuntu Creates processes for installation and consistent updates for Linux applications (these applications can be custom or standard) As a Linux System Build Engineer, you create installers for Windows applications Contributes and drives integration of new technologies Develop a kernel from scratchREQUIREMENTS: Extensive experience with the Linux operating system (Ubuntu is great - but not mandatory) Ability to modify Linux kernels at the board level Prior experience with embedded systems and Nvidia systems Knowledge of bootloaders and disk images Experience building Windows installers Experience with Shell ScriptingNice to Have: Ability to manage and build a DevOps pipeline Familiar with Docker containers (maintain not build out) Prior experience with Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps (ADO)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
