Join our world-class, innovative team today.Position Specific DescriptionThis fast-paced role spearheads the critical processes for Lease Records by managing and supporting the creation, maintenance, and reports of records for all company assets. This position requires strong technical Land skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills.The Lease Records Supervisor oversees and leads the Lease Records functions. Interacts with members of leadership; legal; accounting; and Division Orders by directing and supporting the Lease functions. The role assures accurate analysis and interpretation of all documents relating to producing properties including advising appropriate departments of terms and provisions. The position is responsible for assuring and maintaining lease information in the various owner Land Management Systems (i.e., Quorum, SAP, Excalibur, and CRM) in conformance with Company policies, governmental rules, and regulations, and proper management of Company assets. Responsible for recruiting and staffing to ensure workforce headcount and skill set are commensurate with the portfolio of Assets managed and activity levels of the company.Primary Job Functions

Oversees preparation and maintenance of acreage and obligation reports for management.

Ensure marketability and ownership integrity associated with acquisitions, dispositions, and lease purchases/exchanges.

Oversee Lease Records functions, projects, and initiatives, including directing resources, setting expectations, and monitoring progress.

Identifying land and lease management system needs by evaluating vendors and solutions and integrating the systems within company operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in Supervisor and/or Manager roles: 7+ years

Provide oversight for the analysis of and interpretation of lease provisions, deeds, rights of way, maintenance of records, and other agreements.

Establish and monitor compliance with Land Administration policies and procedures.

Advanced Leadership and team management skills.

Responsible for delegating tasks, leading special projects, and ensuring the productivity of the team.

Ability to monitor, review, and approve, the team's time, activities, questions/needs and ensure adequate support.

Apply expertise with contract limitations and relevant legal constraints to ensure timely and accurate activity in Lease Records

Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.

Previous experience in mentoring, advising, training & development, and supervising strongly preferred.

Employees in this role procure and manage the company’s mineral and leasehold interests for an assigned geographical area by obtaining the legal right to drill oil and gas wells on a specific property.Job Duties & Responsibilities

Verifies ownership of property where the company seeks to explore for oil and gas

Negotiates the purchase of oil and gas leases, or assignments of oil and gas leases

Researches and reports the company’s ownership position, competitor activity, potential legal issues, or other matters for the purpose of decision making and strategic planning

Coordinates and communicates with representatives from internal departments

Ensures the appropriate steps are taken to meet the company drilling goals and deadlines

Compiles and updates land maps that display pertinent land information pertaining to prospects within the assigned area of responsibility

Updates management team on current land positions

Directs and interacts with field lease brokers

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
