IT Asset Manager

Description We are looking for a highly skilled IT Asset Manager to oversee and manage our IT hardware and software assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, managing, and ensuring proper documentation and lifecycle management of all IT assets across the organization. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of IT asset management processes.

Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal.

Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.

Ensure all assets are properly tagged, cataloged, and tracked in asset management systems.

Perform regular audits and reconciliation of IT asset inventories.

Work closely with other departments to plan and coordinate the procurement and distribution of IT assets.

Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and software usage policies.

Collaborate with the IT support team to manage warranty and maintenance contracts.

Report on asset utilization, depreciation, and financials related to IT assets.

Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.

Assist with the disposal of obsolete or end-of-life IT assets in an environmentally responsible manner.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.

Strong knowledge of asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, ManageEngine).

Experience with hardware and software inventory management, lifecycle management, and asset audits.

Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

ITIL certification or other relevant industry certifications.

Experience with contract management and vendor relations.

Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations regarding IT assets.
