David Weekley Homes, a Houston-based national home builder, has an opportunity for an Assistant Interior Designer specializing in model home merchandising.Presentations: Collaborate on design presentations for model homes. This includes developing design solutions through space planning, selecting furniture, art, accessories, architectural materials, and lighting. This would align with David Weekley Homes’ design aesthetic and brand standards.Interior finish selection package: Assist in creating detailed elevation drawings, flooring and paint diagrams, lighting selections.Procurement: Open new furniture accounts, process and follow up on purchase orders with vendorsModel Home Installations: Provide support during installations; this may require local travel & to various cities. Directing movers for placement of furniture, art, and drapery. Obtain quotes from movers and help coordinate project installations.
