The Nurse Manager plans, organizes, directs and evaluates individualized nursing care; nursing care management and nursing personnel management for a designated area.Impacts patient care and daily operations assigned patient care areas.Manages nursing administration in identification of purpose and goals of nursing service and nursing education. Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates nursing care. Coordinates staffing. Manages budget preparation toward provision of adequate personnel, supplies and equipment. Responsible for nursing care in assigned area. Counsels and evaluates nursing personnel for optimum performance. Develops and participates in orientation and in-service education programs for areas of specialization. Collaborates with faculty and assists respective area.Other duties as assigned.Education Required:Bachelor's Degree Nursing.Preferred Education:Master's Degree Nursing or related field.Experience Required:Five years Professional nursing experience, to include one year of supervisory experience in direct patient care activities. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
