The Licensing Coordinator within MD Anderson's Department of Licensure Strategy plays a vital role in managing out-of-state licensure for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with state regulations and institutional policies. This position oversees the end-to-end process of obtaining and renewing licenses, coordinating application submissions, tracking renewal deadlines and completing required paperwork, and maintaining accurate documentation.In collaboration with internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies, the Licensing Coordinator works to streamline licensure operations, enhance efficiency, and support MD Anderson's virtual care strategy by ensuring providers are licensed to deliver high-quality care across state lines. A strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this role.Key Responsibilities

Licensure Coordination: Facilitate the application, renewal, and verification processes for state licensure.

Compliance & Regulation: Ensure adherence to state regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate records and tracking licensure activities and monitor the landscape for updates and changes to processes and requirements.

Process Improvement: Assist in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and compliance within the licensing process.

Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with medical staff, department leaders, and external licensing bodies to resolve issues and expedite the licensing process.

Data Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation within licensing and credentialing databases.
