Together, let us keep the heart beating one creative solution at a time!We are seeking a Feedstock Economist to be responsible for providing economic evaluation for Cracker Feedstocks purchases, evaluation of new Feedstocks that become available, and shall be under the direction of the BASF Total Petrochemicals (BTP) Limited Liability Company (LLC) representative.In addition, you will be responsible for running the global and site linear program for the purposes of determining the optimum feed slate for the BTP (BASF Total Petrochemicals) communicating Feedstock values to the LLC Representative and Traders for the purposes of making purchase and sales decisions and determining the optimum operating mode for the Site.This position is located within the Total Petrochemical and Refining USA, Inc. offices.As a Cracker Feedstock Economist - Houston, TX, you create chemistry by

Working closely with BTP (BASF Total Petrochemicals) Operations, Planning and Business Groups, as well as Total’s Refining, Marine Scheduling, Operations, Supply Chain and Base Chemicals groups.

Preformingeconomic evaluation of feedstocks as described in the LLC agreements.

Reporting economic evaluations and make recommendations to the LLC Representative and Traders for the purpose of making Feedstock purchase decisions.

Determiningoptimum operating mode for the Site in the Supply Plan period.

Maintaining yield data in the LP (linear program).

If you

Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.

Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a refining and/or petrochemical complex optimization in a manufacturing environment.

Are knowledgeable of the petroleum refining and petrochemicals markets and operations.

Have excellenteconomic modelling, mathematical andlinear programming skills (preferred).
