Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and competent Entry Level Tax Accountant with specialized experience in Sales and Use Tax. The ideal candidate must have 1-2 years of proven experience in the field and must be ready to assist our accounting department in effectively and accurately managing our clients taxes. This opportunity will be 100% onsite Pay is up to $31/hr DOEResponsibilities:
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
Conduct thorough audit and compliance processes.
Research and update knowledge of tax laws and regulations pertinent to sales and use tax.
Liaise with tax authorities and agencies.
Participate in tax planning activities.
Respond to tax notices and assist in tax audits.
Help to streamline processes that improve tax reporting efficiencies.
Assist in other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
1-2 years of Tax Accounting experience, especially in Sales and Use Tax.
Strong analytical skills and ability to efficiently interpret tax laws.
Proficiency in tax software and MS Office especially Excel
Detail-oriented, highly organized with ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel. Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience in Auditing practices. Ability to handle Monthly Sales Tax computations and reports. Knowledge and application of Tax - Sales & Use. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Relevant professional certifications (CPA, CMA, etc.) are a plus.
