You are an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.25% travel to various job sites and must live close to a Hub AirportSpecific job expectations: Lead site feasibility assessments, including performing technical review and management of 3rd party contractors, to support the deployment of EV charging deployment. Develop and maintain design standards for EV charger deployment by jurisdiction including relevant building codes and internal design requirements. Delivery of SMART outcomes, including zero HSSE incidents, below target cost for installation per site per charge points, and successful commission of sites required by plan Responsibilities:Manage client teams, including architects, engineers and supply chain to deliver compliant projectsCan analyze, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.Work closely with program manager and commercial teams to contribute to the success of the project and raise concerns/ask for support early. Production of formal project status reports and other reports as requiredMonitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctlyManage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviewsManage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communicationsForecast and update key project milestonesDevelop and own the risk management process.Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholdersRapid response to RFIs from the fieldProvide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where requiredIndependent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliersClient management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunitiesStrategic Thinking - provide advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectivesKnowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is capturedProcess improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processesContribute to annual budgets and planningTravel – to various job sites around Houston, TexasSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
