As a Magnet Recognized hospital, we provide our patients with excellent oncology nursing care.The Pediatric Unit in the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital is looking for experienced Clinical Nurses who are flexible, enthusiastic about family and patient-centered care, and passionate about pediatrics care. Our 35-bed unit will allow you to care for all pediatrics patients in the following services lines: Pedi oncology, pediatrics surgical, pediatrics stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and young adult stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.This position is primarily working in the Pediatric Ambulatory Treatment Center. Shift is Monday - Friday (with a day off during the week) / 9:00am - 7:30pm (10 hour shifts). On-Call for some weekends and holidays.The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for providing care to pediatric and AYA (adolescent and young adults) hematology/oncology patients. This will include administering chemotherapy, blood products and immunotherapies.Transformational LeadershipThe Clinical Nurse is responsible for the provision of care to patients and families consistent with the unit's values, beliefs, and behaviors to meet the demands of the future.

REQUIREMENTSEducation Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.Education Preferred: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.Experience Required: One year of experience in an acute care settingExperience Preferred: Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.Licensure/Certification Required:Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.Licensure/Certification Preferred:Certification in oncology or specialty practice area.
