Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in Houston, Texas. This role is part of a team that is responsible for reconciling and managing cash transactions. This position requires in-office attendance five days a week and necessitates strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to process and manage large volumes of data. This position can pay between $22-25/hr and is starting immediately. Responsibilities: Conduct bank reconciliations for various partnerships, ranging from small clinics to large operations Utilize Excel to sort, subtotal, and format data effectively Ensure accurate entry and reconciliation of debits and credits in the general ledger Manage daily cash tasks such as maintaining the backup documentation portal and ensuring all pieces match up Communicate professionally via phone and email to resolve discrepancies or inquiries Train with the Quality Control Specialist to understand and adhere to company procedures and standards Use Great Plains software and Blackline for transaction matching (training will be provided) Ensure growth by keeping abreast with the latest industry practices and standards Handle large amounts of data efficiently and draw links between different data sets Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth running of operations and contribute to team success. Skills: Proficiency in Daily Cash Management Experience with Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of Ledger Reconciliations Experience in Cash Reconciliations Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software is a plus Proficient in Excel Formulas.Requirements Proficiency in daily cash management and cash reconciliations. Experience with bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations. Proficient in using Great Plains Accounting Software (GPAC). Advanced skills in using Excel formulas for financial calculations. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work. Understanding of basic accounting principles. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
