Job Title: Lead BuyerJob DescriptionThe Lead Buyer is responsible for Capex related procurement activities for sites ranging from approximately $10m to $500m. This role supports strategic growth and investments, delivering new manufacturing capacity. Develop project purchasing strategies and coordinate procurement activities for assigned investment projects. Ensure project sourcing objectives, actions, and priorities are aligned within Global Capex Procurement, Global Engineering, and other key business partners. Procure all Capex and supplies needed to bring manufacturing capacity online (systems, sub-systems, equipment, and spare parts) and services (consulting, engineering, and planning) for assigned specialist areas or investment projects. Work closely with Global Category Management colleagues to execute agreed strategies locally in manufacturing sites. Plan, lead, and execute negotiations of commercial terms and contracting for supply agreements. Manage relationships with suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact within the project team. Drive awareness of supply issues within the project, clarify business impact, and lead resolution plans. Develop project risk management strategies and drive development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans. Work closely with Project Management to monitor supplier performance metrics and actively participate in the tracking and reporting of said metrics to drive supplier accountability. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans that meet project/business needs. Report project-related savings monthly and maintain the project savings pipeline. Review and negotiate supplier change orders.Hard Skills
