Job Description

The Business Office Manager is responsible for all facility billing, accounts receivable and collection activities and supervision of billing and collections personnel. Responsible for achieving cash collection and AR goals for the facility. Works with other department heads to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and other requirements. Position may also manage accounts payable and payroll functions of the facility.

Duties andResponsibilities

1. Manages billing, AR, and collection activities in the facility.

2. Organizes, evaluates, and monitors business office operations and supervises assigned personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.

3. Ensures integrity and confidentiality of all patient financial data.

4. Performs collection activities for patient carriers.

5. Establishes and maintains a system of financial record keeping including issuing receipts, preparing and making bank deposits and recording payments using proper segregation of duties.

6. Manages month-end close activities related to charge capturing and submission of all billing statements and invoices to payers.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

2. 3-5 years’ experience in 3rd party billing and reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred.

3. Experience with MS Suite preferred.
