Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Auditing Clerk based in Houston, Texas. This role lies within the Professional Services industry and will provide you with the chance to enhance your skills in audit and reconciliation tasks. This role is key to our team and involves reviewing audits, data entry, and reconciliations.Responsibilities: Conducting daily reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy Overseeing and executing the audit process Preparing audit reports based on findings and presenting to management Contributing to the data entry process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Performing reconciliation tasks to maintain financial integrity Supporting the team in a range of accounting tasks to grow accounting knowledge Participating in the data reconciliation role, primarily supporting the Hotel Audit Team Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Requirements Must have experience in the Professional Services industry Proficient in performing daily reconciliation tasks Capable of conducting thorough audits and ensuring compliance with established standards Able to prepare detailed and accurate audit reports Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong numerical skills and ability to work with financial data Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Able to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in using computer software relevant to auditing tasks A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
