Description We are offering a unique role in the Manufacturing industry, situated in Houston, Texas, for an Application Support Engineer. This role provides an opportunity to be part of a team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our applications, primarily focusing on supporting our Plant Applications team. This position involves acting as an application owner as well as managing support tickets and ensuring applications are properly patched and updated. Responsibilities: Act as an application owner, overseeing the operation and maintenance of various applications Handle support tickets efficiently, ensuring quick resolution of issues and minimal disruption to operations Manage updates and patches for applications, following the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process Collaborate with application vendors for issue resolution and modifications Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing and project management, ensuring efficient tracking and resolution of issues Provide support across various tiers (Tier 1 to Tier 4), escalating issues to the application vendor as necessary Stay up-to-date with changes in application focus and adapt accordingly Leverage previous experience in the Manufacturing industry to understand and address unique industry challenges Maintain the quality side of systems such as Leakdoss and Limb. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and requires a skill set including Application Support, Project Management, ServiceNow Application, ServiceNow ITSM, and Ticketing System. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Application Support Experience with Project Management in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in ServiceNow Application and ServiceNow ITSM Familiarity with Ticketing Systems for issue tracking and resolution Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software applications Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders Ability to document technical issues and solutions clearly for future reference Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
