RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is seeking a full-time Application Developer to support our enterprise energy client based in Houston, TX.
Core Responsibilities: Application Developer will deliver applications programming and analysis tasks as part of a system development process as well as provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for our internal business partners Decision Making: Operates more independently, decisions range from those governed by general policy to those on technical or complex issues within authorized limits As an Application Developer, you will work independently and at the more advanced level can be considered to be moving towards specialization in own functional area Manage medium to moderate complex projects; May lead a work group or project team Develop and document software based on a defined set of design and performance requirements Application Developers adhere to processes defined by the Technical Lead and Solution Architect Provide estimates of work effort and proactively provide ideas to improve proposed solutions Actively participate in application design, database design, schema layout and data loading Actively participate in code walkthroughs/inspections as per the software development process and Quality Management Plan Application Developers prepare sample data and unit test plans Troubleshoot and correct complex bugs or issues (including performance issues) Develop and execute unit and integration tests as per the project plan Assist in the set up and execution of demonstrations as required Align all work effort with the project schedule/work planREQUIREMENTS: University degree or equivalent 5 - 10 years of experience Full stack developer using Microsoft technologies Should possess comprehensive SQL skills (Stored procedures, functions, etc.) and be able to perform quick data analysis and propose solutions Comprehensive hands-on experience on .Net, C# and C (VS 2015), ASP.Net 3.5 + Azure Tech Stack such as Azure DevOps and VSTS, GIT source control, would be considered an asset Experience with EDI technologies would be considered an asset (e.g., X12 MERCATOR) Experience in PowerBuilder 2019 would be considered an asset Experience with Commercial applications in Natural Gas industry would be considered an asset Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for production supportKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
