Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be integral to our team, working within the accounting department to manage and maintain our accounts receivable function. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Record daily credit card deposits and remote deposits of checks. Post customer payments to their accounts and regularly review customer accounts for past due payments. Initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts and perform accounting and clerical tasks to support departmental goals. Investigate questionable transactions and resolve accounting issues as they arise. Prepare cash bank deposits and customer credits when necessary. Use accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to enter data, maintain records, and manage accounts. Utilize your knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and billing functions to effectively manage customer credit applications. Leverage your skills in CRM and NetSuite to handle high volumes of transactions and check processing. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements Proven experience working as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software systems is essential. Familiarity with CRM and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools. Strong knowledge of accounting functions and procedures. Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable (AR) and billing functions. Ability to handle cash activity and check processing efficiently. Experience with NetSuite software is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
