Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available for a long-term contract / temporary to hire vacancy on a quickly expanding team at a thriving company. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. If you are a collaborative team member with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, then this role is for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Houston, Texas area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.Responsibilities
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Execute full-cycle A/P
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed Requirements - 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
SAP experience preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
