Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Houston, Texas. This role involves overseeing the accounting functions an organization with a large number of entities including intercompany, consolidations, and reconciliation management. The successful candidate will manage a team of accountants, prepare financial reports, and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.Responsibilities: Oversee the organization's general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues. Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting. Assist with periodic auditing of the organization's financial records and statements, working with internal and/or external auditors. Reconcile and adjust balance sheet accounts, including Due to Due Forms and Intercompany. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, providing input on the design and application of new policies and processes. Review completed adjusting entries and trend reports, guiding other accountant levels. Track the progress and timeliness of month-end close activities. Manage Accounting Supervisors and assist in the training and development of accounting staff. Utilize accounting software and ERP systems proficiently, such as NetSuite, SAP, Concur. Apply a thorough understanding of financial and legal best practices and requirements, providing sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges and opportunities.Requirements Proven experience in Acquisitions and Acquisition Integration Demonstrated knowledge in preparing and reconciling Consolidated Balance Sheets Proficient in the preparation of Balance Sheets and Reconciliation Experienced in Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts and Monthly Balance Sheet preparation Strong familiarity with Consolidations Previous experience in Supervisory Management is a must Proficiency in using NetSuite software Expertise in Financial Statements Consolidation Proven ability in preparing and interpreting Monthly Financial StatementsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
