Description Robert Half is on the lookout for a hardworking and meticulous Contract-to-Hire Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP) to join our client. This individual should be a quick learner, have a fundamental understanding of accounting principles, and the capability to work in a flexible enviornment. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals beginning their careers in the field of accounting and seeking to develop their professional skills within the Stafford area.This is a 100% onsite opportunity. Pay is $25/hr DOE Responsibilities:
Manage the company's accounts payable function and ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
Prepare and maintain all vendor invoices, ensuring all necessary approvals have been obtained.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts as required.
Keep track of all expenses and payments, and prepare weekly and monthly expense reports.
Generate monthly financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Assist in improving financial processes and make recommendations to senior management.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Adhere to organizational accounting policies and procedures, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned, such as assisting in budget preparation or financial audits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Exceptional computational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (such as QuickBooks) would be an advantage.
Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
