Now Hiring: Licensed Landscape Architect - Mid Level

Join our team! We are a rapidly growing landscape construction firm seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect with 6-10+ years of experience to create innovative designs for residential and commercial projects in Houston. This position focuses on the creative design and architectural planning of landscapes, emphasizing a high level of proficiency and capability in managing complex design projects. Applicants must be licensed in the state of Texas and have experience with AIA contracts. Candidates who are also current TCEQ Licensed Irrigators are highly preferred. Remote work is available for candidates within the United States.

Location: Houston (Remote work available within the United States)

Compensation: To be agreed based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

- Design innovative and sustainable outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties in compliance with local zoning laws.

- Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up, and other design tools to assist with permit applications.

- Attend, lead, and motivate production teams, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution.

- Coordinate and meet with clients and sub-consultants to ensure project requirements are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

- Attend public meetings and participate in community outreach to gather input and foster community engagement in project planning.

- Play a significant role in the marketing and business development efforts of the firm, leveraging project successes and client relationships.

- Manage and refine design proposals, adjusting to client feedback and ensuring all design elements are prepared for implementation.

- Guide clients through the design process, from conceptualization to the final stages of contracting, ensuring a clear understanding and satisfaction with the proposed designs.

- Storyboard, assemble, complete, and QA/QC SD (Schematic Design), DD (Design Development), and CD (Construction Document) level packages.

Requirements:

- Must be a Licensed Landscape Architect in the state of Texas with 6-10+ years of experience.

- Full professional proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up, construction management platforms (i.e., ProCore, ProjectWise, Kahua), Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and project expectations effectively.

- Must have own reliable transportation to and from job sites (if working onsite).

- Capable of working independently on design tasks and client management.

- Specific experience with AIA contracts is preferred.

- Current TCEQ Licensed Irrigator status is highly preferred.

- Ability to travel periodically, primarily within the state, to support project needs.

- Demonstrated interdisciplinary collaboration and construction/technical competence.
