SCOPE
To produce all technical drawings necessary for the manufacturing and installation of shade structures and custom structures.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Willing to work the necessary hours to complete the drawings needed
- To generate submittal and production drawings for Garden Centers, Force 12 and Industrial products assigned from the Lead Designer
- Specifying BOM including hardware and material
- Generating cut files for cutting room table on assigned projects
- Meeting deadlines for architectural/production drawings as assigned
- Ability to work overtime on occasions to meet deadlines for submittal/production drawings (overtime pay will be applied). Priority of projects is to be given per deadlines and Project Manager
- Clarifying drawings of assigned projects with shop floor
- Being a team player
- Review all information received on assigned projects for completeness of information and clarity of scope of work
- Report any problems/issues with project to supervisor and/or manager in a timely manner
- Record in project folder problems/issues with project (date, summary and contact person, if applicable)
- Proof all drawings prior to releasing to supervisor for stamp of approval
- Include layout drawing for production on all projects
- Ensure bill of material with quantities is on all production drawings
- Interface with sales, purchasing and production departments regarding projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent and a Drafting Certificate required
- Working knowledge of Auto-CAD 2021 or higher.
- Structural and architectural background in steel and aluminum
- Required to have color recognition
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Vision must be correctable to 20/20
