Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that foster growth in all developmental domains.
Provide attentive and responsive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.
Collaborate with the lead teacher to monitor developmental milestones and communicate progress with parents/guardians.
Support daily routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime.
Uphold licensing standards and organizational policies for health and safety.
Foster strong, positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required;
Prior experience working with young children (infants and toddlers preferred).
Basic understanding of child development principles.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required).
Physical ability to perform essential tasks (e.g., lifting children, sitting on the floor).
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
