Description:
HCS company is seeking a motivated and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team. The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning and leading engaging activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a community-based setting.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement daily and weekly activities that promote socialization, independence, and community integration.
Support individuals in participating in recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs.
Maintain activity schedules and records of participation.
Work collaboratively with staff, families, and service coordinators to ensure activities align with each individual’s Person-Directed Plan (PDP).
Provide supervision and ensure safety during all activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in social services, recreation, or related field preferred).
Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving/activities role.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must pass a background check and meet state training requirements.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain
