Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-School Director to lead our center in Jersey Village, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.
Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership to the pre-school program, setting and implementing the overall educational direction in alignment with state standards and best practices.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and facility management.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teaching staff, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, communicating regularly about their child's progress and addressing any concerns or feedback.
Collaborate with teachers to design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, conducting regular assessments and evaluations to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
Act as a liaison between the center, community stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, representing the organization professionally and advocating for the needs of young children and families.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
Texas Director's Credential or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, pedagogy, and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
