Job Description & Duties:

Reputable client in NW Houston is immediately seeking a Customer Service Writer. This position serves as an equipment professional working as a liaison between customers and a variety of agricultural equipment service providers, including mechanics, the dealership, and other related entities. The Customer Service Writer works as an advisor to explain to customers the repairs that may be needed on their equipment and the suggestions being made by the service mechanic. It is the job of the Customer Service Writer to ensure the customer gets only the services they need while paying a price appropriate to the costs of labor and parts. The Customer Service Writer must be an excellent communicator and knowledgeable about agricultural lawn equipment. Customer Service Writers are the primary point of contact for customers seeking service, whether it's for repairs, maintenance, or other needs.

Absolute MUST Haves

- Computer Skills: Proficiency with relevant software and systems is important. Basic - intermediate computer skills

- Data Entry – ability to enter customer data, estimates/quotes

- A people person – chatty, personable, courteous

- Listens to customers, understand their issues, and determine the appropriate course of action.

- Ability to explain service options, recommend necessary repairs, and schedule appointments.

- Process service orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Finalizing customer approval, sending formal quotes & scheduling equipment services

- Keep customers informed about the progress of their service, address their concerns, and handle complaints.

- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Bilingual Preferred – Fluency in English & Spanish

- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.

- Technical Knowledge: Some understanding of the products or services being offered is helpful.

- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments effectively.

- Experience: Prior experience in customer service, sales, or the relevant industry is often preferred.

- Industries: Ag & Turf experience is highly preferred

- Automotive: Service writers are common in dealerships and repair shops.

- Self-driven – willing to go outside of their comfort zone for answers & resolutions.

- Flexibility to be crossed trained to help as needed.
