Project Manager Trainee - Commercial Construction company located in Northwest Houston
Pay range is $25-$28/hr (DOE)
Seeking a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in construction science or construction management. The ideal candidate must be motivated and seeking stability within a career.
The desired candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, previous construction project management experience, and ideally have prior industry experience within Commercial Construction.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects
Collaborate with Project Managers and work to develop project schedules and budgets
Coordinate and communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budget
Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
Assist in the coordination of project meetings and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders
Support the project team in resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management or related field
Proven experience and/or knowledge of project and construction management
Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera, Bluebeam, etc. is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
