Field Services and Account Manager

Online auctioneering company is looking for a qualified individual to fill a permanent, part-time position based out of Houston. This position could turn into a full-time position. The person in this role will manage the Houston area, servicing our clients in the Houston area. It is a hybrid position, where time will be split working to help prepare items for auction and working the removal process while also meeting with current clients to maintain and grow the relationship.

Applicant Must:

Be able to travel throughout the Houston area

Have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurance

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in non-climate controlled environments.

Adapt to fast paced work environment

Be able to operate a forklift

Be comfortable in a customer facing role and working under the mindset to always take care of the customer

Build and grow relationships with current clients, while delivering top notch service to client base

Must possess knowledge of:

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

File Sharing Applications

Basic digital photography and digital voice recording

Comfortable with technology and computers

Territory / Account Management

Experience in the following is desirable but not required:

Auction background or understanding

Familiarity with medical devices or clinical equipment

Materials management

Machinery and equipment identification

Knowledge of basic digital image manipulation software

The right candidate for the job will:

Have strong work ethic and be self-directed, with the ability to work with minimal to no supervision

Experience in customer facing, account management position

Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Be an honest and trustworthy character. Integrity is of the utmost importance.

Be prompt and work on schedule

Have impeccable customer service skills

Have strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

We are looking for the right character to fit our company culture. The right person can be trained, but intrinsic qualities of integrity and work ethic are a must. This position is not a typical 9-5 office position, but could put you in a different job / place / location every day with little to no supervision. Flexibility is a must, as you may be working in the warehouse setting up an auction one day and knocking on the door to a new contact within the organization the next. Candidate should have 1-3 years general experience in this industry and job function.
