We are looking for a person with senior level tax skills and experience to manage and assist senior tax preparers. Primary responsibility will include tax return review and research. We are a small established firm and are beginning to expand. There will be opportunities to advance in the firm.
Primary job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Review of tax returns – federal and state – prepared by Firm staff members
Possibility of some return preparation of more complex returns
Tax research related to return preparation
Training of staff
Interact with our clients
Assist with IRS Audits
Mandatory requirements are:
At least five to eight years of tax preparation experience at a public accounting firm
The experience must be current
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
A Texas CPA license
Beneficial characteristics would include:
Experience preparing financial statements
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Experience with Ultra Tax and related software
Must pass background check.
