Experience teaching in an LCME -accredited medical school or CPME - accredited podiatry school is preferred. The chosen individuals will assist in implementing a vertically and horizontally integrated curriculum utilizing active learning, team-based learning, problem-based learning, flipped classroom and self-directed study. Duties are not limited to:

Develop the goals, learning objectives, pre read assignments, pre and post test questions and any supplemental materials for each topic sequence (may identify faculty from other colleges to assist).

Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to each student during their clerkship year as needed.

Review reflections/experiences of students.

Prepare for, attend, and participate in monthly faculty meetings.

Work on projects within SOPM such as problem-based learning; communication skills; write-up, oral case presentation and clinical reasoning; professionalism and ethics; mentoring; feedback and evaluation.

Participate in and facilitate academy faculty development sessions and retreats (which occur periodically throughout the year) as needed.

Participate in university and SOPM committees as appointed.

Other duties as assigned

Candidates must possess a terminal Degree of (Ph.D., M.D., or D.P.M.) or equivalent with post-doctoral experience in the area of expertise.
