Description Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee critical functions including Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Commission Processing. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing process improvements, and fostering a productive work environment.Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor relations, and dispute resolution.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments, while adhering to company policies.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure satisfaction with payment processes.
Supervise and coach accounts payable staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Manage reporting and contractual requirements such as Certificate of Insurance and vendor contracts.
Payroll:
Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Develop and implement SOPs for process improvement.
Commission Processing:
Manage accurate and timely calculation, processing, and reporting of employee commissions based on company policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional departments and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and analyze reports to provide management with insights into departmental performance.
Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the accounting department.
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the accounting ERP system and deploy new functions as needed.
Lead and motivate the accounting team to foster a positive work environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management role, with at least 2 years managing accounts payable.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
Occasional travel may be required.
