Requisition ID: 172010Job Level: Mid LevelHome District/Group: Kiewit Water Facilities SouthDepartment: LegalMarket: Water/WastewaterEmployment Type: Full TimePosition OverviewAs a Senior Paralegal/Contracts Specialist for Kiewit, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of support associated with contract management including (1) understanding Kiewit’s contractual obligations, (2) monitoring our contractual obligations, (3) maintaining organizational tools to track our contractual obligations, (4) assist in developing and maintaining tools to manage the contract, (5) assisting with the organization of project documentation, (6) maintain and educate on software platforms for the collection and management of project information, (7) work alongside internal and client document control, (8) assist in drafting project correspondence, (9) work alongside Kiewit attorneys during negotiation phase, execution phase and potentially litigation/dispute resolution phase. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills, professionalism, initiative, accuracy, detail orientation, and precision. We are looking for a team player who has the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines, milestones, and objectives.District OverviewKiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Westlake, TX (DFW area), with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design. Travel expenses covered by Kiewit.Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Senior Contracts Manager, and working with project management staff and inside counsel, perform activities related to the identification, preservation, collection, and analysis of electronic and other information pertaining to assigned contract matters.

Assist in drafting and organizing project correspondence.

Provide support to Contract Manager for all assigned service agreements within his/her area including routing of documents, requests for approval, drafting of internal memos, and department workflows.

Work with business leads and legal team to support contract negotiations.

Qualifications

5 years of overall experience with at least 2 years of experience working as a Paralegal with a professional law firm or legal department for a large company and 3 years of experience working in contracts administration.

Bachelor’s degree in related field; relevant work experience would also be considered in lieu of.

Paralegal certification required.

Experience drafting and managing official legal correspondence.

Knowledge of legal materials, key words, verbiage, etc.

A thorough understanding of procurement and subcontract management is required.

Demonstrated customer service and collaborations skills; with the ability to connect and build relationships with others both inside and outside the organization.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a variety of corporate departments.

Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.

Ability to think innovatively to offer practical solutions while achieving targeted risk profile.

Demonstrated strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.

Demonstrate strong skills with Excel and ability to quickly learn about and utilize Kiewit software platforms, including document control platforms.

Working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Share Point, SmartSheet, and SAP.
