Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Staff for the Precision Fires Rate Tooling team. Our team is responsible for the successful execution of rate tooling contracts as Missiles and Fire Control ramps up production capacity on various Precision Fires programs. Programs that fall under the Precision Fires umbrella include the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) as well it's Extended Range variant (GMLRS-ER), the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), as well as the M270 and HIMARS launchers for those missile systems.What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer, Staff, you will be responsible for the support of rate tooling proposals, support of program baseline activities, and the support of rate tooling contract execution. A successful candidate for this role must be a demonstrated self-starter that works well with minimal oversight, learns quickly, and has the ability to drive projects across multiple sites, suppliers, and locations. Organizational skills and the ability to consolidate complex data related to tooling status into actionable insight for leadership is a must. Your responsibilities will include: Generation of Tangible Item Lists (TILs) and labor estimates, facilitating in the collaboration of make-where and make-split decisions Budget planning, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning, make site coordination Control Account Management (CAM), Writing Tooling Action Requests (TARs), collaboration with make sites on writing of tooling Statements of Work (SOWs), managing priorities and driving budget and schedule of Tool Design, Fabrication, and Prove-Out activities, reporting of tooling status to functional and program leadership and USG customers.This position typically requires 9 years of professional experience.Why Join UsDo you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
