A temporary worker is engaged to supplement the workforce during periods of unusual or emergency workload, leave of absence or vacation. A temporary worker can be engaged to perform tasks ranging from routine to highly complex. Length of assignments vary up to a maximum of six (6) months.During your tenure as a temporary worker, we'll work with you to find the right positions based on your education and former employment. You'll be able to visit various departments within American to help you better understand our company and make informed decisions about your future career path with us. We'll support your search for a full-time permanent position by providing assistance with resume writing and interview techniques that will prepare you for internal interviews at American Airlines. Temporary workers have the benefit of applying for the Company's internal vacancies on the first day of their assignment. However, the temporary position does not include employee medical benefits or flight privileges.What does a Member Services Rep-Mortgage Services - Temporary Worker do?
Prepares pre-closing loan quality Initiative requirements, credit analysis, and quality control of the loan information
Provides accurate closing and funding of our mortgage loans in all 50 states plus the Virgin Islands using the Prime Alliance LFC system
Serves in a backup role for initial member contact via incoming phone calls and for taking applications through our Prime Alliance loan origination system
Job QualificationsPreferred Job Qualifications
Previous banking or Credit Union experience
Previous mortgage lending experience
Previous residential mortgage closing and funding experience
Previous working knowledge of PC Software including Desktop Underwriting, Prime Alliance, and Episys
Minimum Job Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified (e.g., no past due accounts, charge-offs, collection items or bankruptcies)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
Skilled in above average interpersonal and communication skills and professional telephone manners
Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
Ability to work well under deadlines and high volume pressure
Ability to quickly learn and adapt well to change
Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
