The Project Management Leader Technology job manages a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and is responsible for providing strategic support for technical project/program objectives within the business area. As a team leader, this job oversees the execution of technology project/business requirements to successfully manage large projects for the organization. This job owns short to mid-term execution of functional strategy for the achievement of strategic technical project/program management results.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Acts as a day-to-day technical/functional expert in assigned area and makes decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.

Monitors technical project teams and directs the allocation of resource requirements necessary to ensure projects are successful and that targets are met.

Provides advanced technical and analytical guidance to project team members.

Influences the development of strategic improvements through analysis of progress and performance against set targets.

Monitors the status of technical projects including cost, timing, and staffing.

Analyzes and reports on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics.

Ensures outside contractors are appropriately managed to optimize integration within the project, so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of the team.

Ensures strategic technical project management policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement AI strategies that align with business goals, ensuring integration across departments

Project Management:

Oversee AI project execution from conception to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive AI initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

Technology Evaluation: Assess and select AI technologies that meet business needs, advocating for responsible AI practices

Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs to evaluate the subjective business and quantifiable effectiveness of AI solutions while optimizing strategies based on feedback

Building cross-functional Center of Excellence teams across multiple geographies

Building, running and improving enterprise cross-skilling programs for various audiences

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of technical project management experience in financial services industry managing large portfolios with executive oversight required, 10+ years strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree strongly preferred

Certification in Program Management

Demonstrated training in AI and/or Cloud

3+ years of Insurance industry experience (knowledge of insurance products and the market). Ideally some of the experience will have been customer facing experience (such as digital, eCommerce etc.)

Demonstrated ability to manage Cyber and Risk reporting in addition to developing and reporting on program KPIs, multi-year program forecasting requirements for product and tech teams.

Demonstratable experience in building colleague leadership programs, mentoring and developing talent

Ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences ranging from executive to enterprise-wide communications
