The Government Solutions Sales Executive is the lead salesperson for the Fiserv enterprise portfolio of payment processing solutions. This person will provide strategic and consultative management for a portfolio of existing and new clients in our government solutions vertical. As the strategic advisor to the client, you will be required to have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions as well as Fiserv solutions that address their requirements. This individual will be passionate about helping clients grow their business selling an enterprise set of innovative payment and technology solutions in complex client environments.

What you will do: Expanding existing accounts within an assigned portfolio for the organization's key or national, large complex customers below the global account level.

Growing existing accounts within an assigned portfolio for the organization's key or national, large Government customers.

Prospecting and closing new Government accounts within an assigned geography. This includes prospecting, owning the sales representative role in RFPs through to signing new client contracts.

Develop, maintain, and build strong relationships with clients and will always represent the Fiserv values of embodying the highest ethical standards and treating others with dignity, respect, and genuine concern.

What you will need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or military service time required 7+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management functions.

What would be great to have:

Long sales cycle, “C-Level” (CEO, CFO, COO) sales experience required.

Possess a fundamental understanding of solution selling. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at a senior level with clients gaining trusted advisor status

Needs to be a great planner – have a plan, work the plan, re-evaluate the plan on an ongoing basis and revise it as necessary.

Experience w/ eCRM tools, tracking and reporting pipeline, and achieving sales targets

Leads and develops an account strategy using client growth plans, budget and project timelines

Strong influencing and negotiation skills

Prior experience of successfully working in a dynamic, matrix environment as well as in the Acquiring and/ or Payments Industry

Government and Public Sector background preferred.

Strong, tangible results in previous sales role(s)

Product management experience preferred. Experience working with Merchant clients, relationship management and cross consulting.
