Description Our fast growing construction and landscaping client is anxious to identify a cost accountant for one of their local facility due to recent growth. This is a highly visible position and individuals in this role are constantly tapped on the shoulder for promotional opportunities.The job functions for the Cost Accountant position will include but not be limited to:standard cost developmentinventory control and physical inventory for the facility variance analysis analyzing variancesmonthly closing activities developing and entering standard costs for new or redesigned parts or change noticesprepares audit schedules, assists in preparation of departmental budgets and forecasting and participates on continuous improvement/cost reduction teams.Interested professionals must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3+ years of general ledger and cost accounting experience, strong analytical abilities, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, be proficient in Excel and have exposure to a major ERP system. CMA and or CPA are preferred but not required. If you are bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, that is a huge plus.For immediate and confidential consideration please contact Kendall Carter at either 469-221-4416 or [email protected] Work on GL accounting functions & month end close, reconciliations, bank statements, taxes, etc. Analyze job costs and expenses related to projects. Monitor budget versus actual expenses for each project. Prepare accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure cost efficiency. Track inventory and reconcile with project costs. Generate financial reports detailing project expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations.
