Weekend and holiday requirementsDepartment highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· 28 bed Med surg Tele unit improves the quality of care for the tele patient. Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple acute chronic diseases such as pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, weakness, failure to thrive, GI bleeds, Diverticulitis, trachs, DKA, BKA, infections, diabetic, renal, urology with traveling tele beds.Here’s What You Need· Graduate of an Accredited Vocational Nursing Program required.· Six (6) months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR Residency program required.· LVN- Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required.· BCLS- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days required· Strong med/surg LVN experience with experience in passing medications preferred.What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Collaborate with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiate action to meet patient needs· Takes action to reduce and eliminate patient risks· Collects data and reports significant findings to RN· Uses nursing model to obtain adequate date to initiate, implement and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician and family needs.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful LVN will· Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced, high stress environment.· Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients· Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism· Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systemsPosition ResponsibilitiesDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
