The Distribution Program Manager is responsible for the contract execution, delivery, quality performance and relationship management for assigned distributors. This role acts as the main point of contact for the customer regarding all projects, escalations, and performance metrics. This role manages the distributor partnership and advocates internally for the distributor to all cross-functional and divisional teams to meet all customer commitments. This role supports leadership-level discussions, reviews, and negotiations with internal and external leaders. Role has no direct reports. Essential Functions:
Serves as the point of contact for assigned distributors and is responsible for all elements of distributor management.
Acts as the distributor advocate internally and represents the division externally.
Ensures distributor requirements and contract obligations are met in the best interests of Parker.
Ensures a successful distributor partnership by responding to all requests and serving as the primary contact for all charter expansions, product activities, quality activities, escalation, and problem resolution.
Serves as key host, presenter, and facilitator on program reviews, documenting, communicating, and executing meeting actions.
Participates in distributor business reviews ensuring that all actions are documented, communicated, and executed.
Participates in distributor conferences and assists with distributor training. This includes presenting selected topics and planning and executing conferences and training.
Provides status to management on specific programs and distributor growth plans from established goals and objectives.
Maintains professional and technical/product knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical/specialty publications, and/or participating in professional associations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Government contracts/requirements experience preferred.
Ability to demonstrate business skills and lead cross-functional matrixed teams across a suite of distributors.
Knowledge of aerospace contracting, procurement requirements, and understating of financial and labor cost systems and production processes.
Proficient in the use of business application software.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex policies and contractual language.
Ability to respond to and negotiate with customers, regulatory agencies and business community members.
Ability to develop effective written communication and present information to various levels of leadership, customers or suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential customer management functions of the job acquired through 3 or more years of customer-related work experience.
