Description Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a thriving 30+ year old design and architecture firm for a Controller. My client is seeking a versatile and hands-on Controller to handle the firms accounting and finance activities including human resources, benefits and payroll.My client offers a hybrid work schedule, has beautiful offices, pays 100% of the benefits for the employee, annual bonus program, 401K with 6% match, and paid parking.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Manage month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines Develop and maintain financial budgets and forecasts Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for informed decision-making Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Oversee cash flow management and work with the bank to maintain positive relationships Use accounting software such as QuickBooks for financial management Handle HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations Work closely with CEO to plan and implement cash flow strategies to optimize profitabilityInterested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business and 5+ years of being in an accounting leadership or controllership position handling all daily accounting activities, month-end close, preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, human resources, benefits and payroll. CPA is preferred. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions. Ability to manage all Accounting Functions efficiently. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Must have a comprehensive understanding of Auditing practices. Ability to manage Budget Processes effectively. University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. Proficiency in using QuickBooks is essential. Experience in managing Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities. Ability to prepare Financial Statement Preparation. Must possess excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
