What you will do:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our team and manage the supply planning and procurement of modular construction products for our projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with project management teams and superintendents to understand project requirements, coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites. Strong communication, analytical skills, and supply chain management experience are essential for success in this role.Additional responsibilities:

Supply Planning: Collaborate with project management and superintendent teams to understand project timelines, material requirements, and specifications for modular construction products. Develop and maintain supply plans to ensure availability of materials as per project schedules.

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for modular construction products based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.

Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage purchase orders for modular construction products based on project requirements and supply plans. Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, lead times, and delivery schedules to meet project timelines.

Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels of modular construction products and track consumption patterns across projects. Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and ensure availability of critical materials for ongoing projects.

Logistics Coordination: Coordinate shipment and delivery of materials from suppliers to construction sites. Work closely with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes, manage shipping schedules, and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals and minimize disruptions.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to ensure that delivered materials meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Address any quality issues or discrepancies in delivered materials promptly and effectively.

Cost Analysis and Reporting: Conduct cost analysis of purchased materials, supplier performance, and logistics expenses. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, delivery performance, and cost-saving initiatives for management review.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related degree

2 plus years of related experience

Preferred Skills:

Relevant procurement experience, highly

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

Highly regulated industry experience (Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive)

Demonstrated success in inventory management and reduction

$64,600 - $100,300 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.About StrykerOur benefits:
