Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team in Dallas. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians, escorting patients, recording patient data, and performing various administrative duties.Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate.
Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physicians prior to treatment or procedures.
Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
Assist physicians with exams and procedures by standing and taking notes.
Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and registered nurses.
Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.
Perform other administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception as requested by supervisors or physicians.
Essential Skills
Certified Medical Assistant
Experience with Athena software
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification is preferred but non-certified Medical Assistants with previous experience will be considered.
