We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Diesel Mechanic to join our shop team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the fleet of trucks and vehicles in our yard. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in diesel engine repair, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
Responsibilities:
-Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
-Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and related systems
-Conduct thorough inspections to identify and repair faulty components or systems
-Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems
-Utilize diagnostic equipment, computer software, and manuals to assist with troubleshooting and repairs
-Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
-Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts used
-Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and ensure efficient workflow
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel engine repair
