Employees in the PSS position serve as primary contact for patients and are charged with scheduling appointments, receiving patients and working side by side with students and faculty to meet students and patient needs. In addition, this position is responsible for processing all payments accurately and efficiently. PSS position requires working on a mobile station as well as a stationary position daily.Requisition ID:37895BRTravel Required:Up to 25%Major/Essential Functions:

Receives all incoming calls.

Schedules and confirms patient appointments for clinic visits accurately in axiUm.

Maintains accurate cash count daily and submits end of day report and deposit.

Runs daily, weekly and monthly reports to reflect treatment rendered in student clinic.

Responsible in training of all new PSS’s on the workflow and job related duties of position.

Managing and scheduling all recalls in a timely manner.

Handling all voicemails and fax applications on a daily basis.

Keeps close tabs on all student schedules to include externships and absences from clinic activities.

Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).

Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of basic office equipment to include telephone, laptop, desktop, scanner, printer, signature pad and credit card terminal.

Professional communications skills in person, over the phone and in writing.

Ability to interact efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people.

Good time management skills in a busy working environment.

Willingness to accept and handle frequent changes.

Takes developmental opportunities and constructive criticism with a positive attitude.

Knowledge of all dental procedures and codes.

Works closely with staff, administration, faculty and students.

Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.

Willing to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, some extended hours are possible.
