1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing concrete products and delivering ready-mix concrete: Quotes prices and receives orders for company products, such as ready-mix concrete.
2) Confers with plant production and yard personnel to establish delivery schedules according to factors, such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, and unloading time.
3) Prepares invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents and assigns drivers for scheduled deliveries.
4) Receives cash payments for shipments from drivers and prepares reports of cash and charge sales.
5) Maintains radio contact with drivers to expedite deliveries.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Previous dispatching experience and knowledge of the El Paso and surrounding areas is preferred
Knowledge of DOT regulations and previous construction experience is helpful
Ability to operate and learn new computer programs
Ability to effectively manage time and multi task
Ability to manage stressful situations
Ability to accurately log important information on a daily basis
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before contractors or employees of organization
Ready Mix experience a preference
Multi-line phone operating skills
Must be bilingual
