Position OverviewInternational Corporation, a leading North American truck manufacturer with great products, a strong market position and best-in-class distribution network, has an exciting new opportunity for a Dimensional Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team at our Advanced Technology Center in Elmendorf, TX just outside of San Antonio.The Dimensional Manufacturing Engineer will work with various functions including Product engineering, Supplier Tooling, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing to support product prototype and program implementation activities. Travel can be up to 50% at any Navistar plants in US, Mexico, Europe and Asia. Responsibilities
Part and Assembly dimensional buyoff – supporting AME team in verification that new parts and new equipment operate in accordance with applicable requirements and specifications.
Slow Build / Match Build execution – supporting new program slow build and match metal build program activities.
Variation analysis validation- Review and interpret engineering variation analysis validation (ex. Tolerance Stack Analysis)
Installation, tryout, validation and debug of process equipment
Assembly line dimensional performance confirmation -
Review Assembly Line Dimensional reports and be able to identify issues and suggest corrective actions to improve product, process or design.
Reporting to stakeholders on progress and issues.
Execute major projects on time and within budget to measurably improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience.
Support production by implementing projects and assignments that measurably improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience.
Create and forecast plan needed to complete projects and work with leadership to properly prioritize, track progress and clearly communicate status.
Assist with development of prototype process development, prototype equipment specification, procurement, and installation, and prototype assembly and evaluation as needed.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional and cross brand teams within Traton
Assist with development, training, and ongoing support of EV battery and vehicle assembly
Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures through working closely with the quality team and R&D.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of experience in product manufacturing
OR
At least 7 years of experience in product manufacturing

Desired Skills
EV battery assembly and vehicle assembly experience highly desired.
Experience with 2D- Auto CAD and 3D CAD software - Teamcenter NX is a plus
Experience in Dimensional engineering strategies , including coordinated datums, product/process enablers, variation analysis techniques and GD&T
Experience with statistical analysis (ex. Process capability and gage R&R) – Six Sigma Certification a plus
Experience in tooling development
Experience & Comfort presenting complex topics to leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Software Suite
Experience in automotive or similar industry
Experience with high voltage battery systems, electronics assembly systems and battery quality testing a plus.
Experience with truck or automotive assembly is a plus
Detailed analytical skills
Ability to understand and organize complex sets of data
Ability to interact with all levels of management at the local and division levels
Proficient in MS Office computer skills
Ability to take an active role and participate on cross functional teams across multiple brands
Proven ability to initiate and support change to the organization
