Assistant Controller

Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in Elgin, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various financial operations, including preparing financial reports, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, performing account reconciliations, and helping to develop and enforce internal controls. This role also involves assisting with audits and tax compliance, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvements.Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Support the budgeting process and collaborate on financial forecasts to guide strategic decision-making Conduct regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records Help develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations Assist with audits, providing documentation and explanations as required by auditors Support tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller or senior management Requirements Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge of ERP Solutions Ability to use Great Plains (GPAC) Proficiency in managing Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing Familiarity with Budget Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
