POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the monitoring the implementation of the quality control system, for the assessment of the associated product and process attributes. The position performs various measurements, checks, analysis in a laboratory setting and on the production floor, as well as record, analyze and report on data collected. The Quality Control Technician also monitors and documents compliance with the plant quality assurance system, discussing issues with management and seeking resolution. This role is also responsible for following and uphold Good Laboratory Practices and to maintain the laboratory, its equipment and supplies according to standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform quality control related tasks in the laboratory and on the production floor, which includes and is not limited to: product, process, raw materials, and packaging materials testing, process parameter monitoring and SOP compliance validation.

Complete, verify, and file production and quality related documents in accordance with quality systems.

Record, compile, and analyze data and information and report on results and findings.

Recognize and escalate any issues identified as risks to product quality and compliance, or opportunities to improve, quality performance, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ years of experience working in Food & Beverage manufacturing; experience working as a quality technician in a Food or Beverage plant preferred

High School Diploma or GED Required

Good mathematical aptitudes

Ability to work overtime and to be flexible with schedule worked hours

Good attendance, punctuality, and self-driven

Beginner experience with Microsoft office suite

Able to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, humid, noisy and dusty

Able to stand or sit for prolonged hours, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs

Must reside in the Palestine, Texas area
