Manager, Logistics 3PL OperationsWork Mode: OnsiteLocation: Onsite - De Soto, TXOpportunityIn support of Kitchen & Bath Americas Supply Chain and Logistics, the Manager – Logistics, 3PL Operations will manage all components of multiple Kitchen & Bath Americas 3PL Operated Regional Distribution Centers (DCs). They will work closely with the 3rd Party Logistics providers (3PLs) to meet site objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, and will be responsible for the overall financial performance of the site. They will serve as the primary on-site liaison between Kohler and the 3PLs (DeSoto and Wilmer, TX), coordinating communication between the Distribution Center and numerous Kohler Co. functions as guided by the Sr Manager – Logistics.Specific Responsibilities

Monitors daily operations of sites and partners with Kohler 3PL providers to ensure effective execution of outbound and inbound operations to meet customer expectations

Manages and is accountable for all operational costs in the distribution centers and works with the 3PLs to meet total site cost and Cost Per Unit productivity goals. Manages and is accountable for working with the 3PLs to achieve Customer Delivery, Quality (OS&D), Inventory and Safety metrics

Provides site level forecasting and aligns with the 3PL on labor, equipment and costs to achieve objectives Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of site performance to KPI targets

Maintains open and effective communication between the 3PL partner and Kohler Teams, including: Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, Transportation, Quality, Engineering and Finance

Drives Continuous Improvement through ongoing process review and works to develop best practices at both the site and Network level.

Monitors quality control and actively facilitates root cause analysis of quality gaps in the areas of on time shipping, OS&D, inventory accuracy and product integrity

Supports Customer Service, Sales and Marketing teams and interacts with end customers to understand and manage shipment quality, order accuracy and customer value added programs

Supports DC postponement pack and rework initiatives, working with Kohler Production, Engineering and Supply Planning Teams define the scope of work and the 3PLs to align on labor needs and execution

Collaborates with New Product Development, Sales, Marketing Customer Service and Supply Chain to design and implement new customer distribution processes and systems.

Assists in defining clear KPIs and targets for which to measure 3PL performance

Manages ACT / Capital Projects for distribution center to ensure vendors and 3PL partners align and execute within scope

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Kohler-owned or leased facilities and equipment, assuring facilities are in compliance with all applicable fire, safety, insurance and municipal codes

Skills/Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business administration or related field. MBA preferred.

5+ Years Warehouse or Distribution Center Operations experience.

Must understand inter-relationships across Supply Chain functions and impacts to Income Statement

Able to communicate effectively with others and build credibility and rapport.

Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a systematic approach to decision-making.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams

Team player, flexible and adaptive.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
