Job Title: Mechanical DrafterJob DescriptionThe candidate will be working in the bearing manufacturing industry, performing CAD duties using AutoCAD and Solidworks, and handling various products. This hybrid role combines drafting and technician responsibilities, requiring the candidate to complete repair dispositions on new and used customer-supplied bearings and seals.Responsibilities
Perform CAD duties using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Complete repairs dispositions on new and used customer-supplied bearings and seals.
Generate drawings for new replicated parts (bearings, seals, etc.).
Reverse engineer customer-supplied parts utilizing precision measuring instruments.
Disassemble components that often arrive with oil, dirt, rust, and debris.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks with 3+ years of experience.
Experience in 2D/3D modeling.
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience with precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
Experience in a manufacturing environment for 3+ years.
Skills in reverse engineering and repair disposition.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficient in 3D Solidworks.
Ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
Work EnvironmentThe candidate will work in a 50/50 environment, splitting time between the office and the engineering shop floor area. Each person will have their own workstation on the floor to perform tasks successfully. The company will provide all necessary PPE and reimburse as needed. The role involves physical interaction with components that may be oily, dirty, rusty, and covered in debris, requiring the candidate to get hands dirty during the process.
